some of us learn the body's language because we had to

Drop into You started with my mom.

When I was in high school, she was diagnosed with Cushing's disease. A hormonal disorder we believe was brought on by years of chronic stress & unprocessed emotion her body had been quietly holding in trust.

It took seven years for doctors to figure it out. Seven years of being misdiagnosed. Minimized. Sent home with medications that didn't work. She knew something was wrong the whole time. Nobody listened.

Watching that changed me quietly & completely. Not just the illness. The part before it. The part where her body was screaming & the world kept telling her she was fine. I never forgot what it looks like when a nervous system has been running on survival for so long it starts to break down. & I never forgot what it looks like when nobody around you has the language for it.

She's well now. But I'm still thinking about that.

a little about me

I built this because I needed it

I've been deep in this work ever since. Not as an expert. As a woman who got curious out of necessity & couldn't stop. What does a nervous system in survival mode actually feel like from the inside? What are the early signs? & more importantly, what brings you back?

Somatic & inner work gave me the answer. I practice it daily. It's the thing that brings me back to myself when nothing else does.

I'm not a doctor or a therapist. I'm a woman who watched her mom be dismissed for seven years & decided to spend her life learning the language she didn't have. & if you're here because something in your body has been trying to tell you something, something quiet, something you can't quite name, I want you to know you're in the right place.

Your body isn't broken. It's been holding something in trust until you were ready to listen.

I'll meet you there.
